Tunnelling Tasters a Roaring Success
The very first in-person CITB Tunnelling Taster Session successfully launched recently. A collaboration between CITB, Tunnelcraft, TunnelSkills, The STC Group, Tideway, BMB Construction, BAM Nuttall, Morgan Sindall and Balfour Beatty, the programme is designed to inspire young people to take up a career in the booming tunnelling industry.

A family owned construction company which works mostly in the Welsh speaking region of North West Wales is reaping the benefits of employing bilingual staff.

CITB is encouraging more providers to sign up to become an Approved Training Organisation and offer vital training for the construction industry. The organisation has waived the joining fee of £750 for providers to encourage more to become CITB approved, enabling them to offer essential training and reap the many benefits available to businesses.

CITB is investing £3m into Scottish construction to support individuals at the start of their career and increase job retention.

Welsh Government Apprenticeship Framework Pathway Consultation
On behalf of Welsh Government, CITB is undertaking a fourteen-day public consultation on the implementation of a new Construction Plant Operations Apprenticeship Framework Pathway at CQFW Level 3 for Wales.

CITB to invest over £233m in British construction
With a strong focus on three core challenges for construction, CITB published its Business Plan today (18 May), announcing it will be investing over £233m across Britain to support construction throughout 2022/23.
