The UK’s nuclear renaissance, commencing with the nuclear new build at Hinkley Point C, presents skills and competency challenges.

The ONR-regulated construction environment demands higher quality, bespoke training solutions for the supply chain. However, the cost of consultative and collaborative engagement with specialists cannot be met from current skills funding.

The client has invested significant capital to support development and delivery, but revenue support is needed to achieve sustainability. Revenue funding will add further value by driving down future regulated build costs..

  • 7 pathways/programmes developed, piloted and delivered for key nuclear & regulated construction infrastructure workforce areas.
  • Training piloted with 336 individuals
  • A scoping report, identifying the skills and training needs of nuclear build.
