The project will deliver a package of training that will enable companies to upskill existing workers from the IOWCTG membership that is experiencing a shortage of qualified site managers. This is achieved by enrolling on the NVQ6 Site Management programme This programme is supported by classroom based face-to-face interactive training of Nationally recognised site manager qualifications which are not ordinarily available on the Island.
8 SME employees undertaking:
• L6 NVQ in Site Management; SMSTS;
• First Aid at Work;
• Intermediate Excel;
• Construction ILM

Project summary
The project had eight direct beneficiaries who all achieved the NVQ Level 6 Site Management qualification which has enabled them to apply for the black CSCS manager’s card and work towards CIOB membership.
The project has raised aspirations and increased engagement with higher level training within local construction companies.
