Course content

• Understand the roles, responsibilities, and legal obligations of a CPCS Tester
• Learn CPCS scheme rules, technical standards, and assessment procedures
• Conduct pre-test checks and prepare plant or machinery for assessment
• Understand and apply assessment criteria for theory and practical tests
• Observe and evaluate candidate performance against CPCS standards
• Record and report assessment results accurately and professionally
• Maintain safety standards during all assessment activities
• Identify common faults, unsafe practices, and areas for candidate improvement
• Communicate effectively with candidates, training providers, and CPCS administrators.

Teaching and assessment 

• Continual assessment throughout the course 
• 4 days of theory and practical exercises
• 1 day final assessment.
