For construction workers involved in energy and utilities underground assets. 

Course content

  • HS&E obligations when locating underground services
  • Locating services in a working area
  • Working near live buried services
  • Identifying symbols and codes on utility plans
  • What to do in an emergency.

Teaching and assessment 

  • Classroom learning
  • Theory test
  • Assessment by observation.

What you get

  • EUSR Category 1 Certificate

Entry requirements

  1. Reasonable mobility
  2. Ability to lift and move loads
  3. Good spoken and written English
  4. Valid form of ID. See accepted forms of ID.
